Tapestries

The collection of the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center also comprises a series of 29 tapestries, showing details from the paintings by Jheronimus Bosch. These large pieces of art were produced between 1979 and 1981 and display a distinctive use of materials and colours, giving them their own, unique character. The tapestries were made by the Mierzejewski brothers, both artists in their own rights. The brothers are among the greatest Polish artists of the twentieth century. These tapestries have been exhibited in various museums around Europe.
