(2nd Conference) Jheronimus Bosch, His sources

In May 2007 the 2nd International Jheronimus Bosch Conference took place in 's-Hertogenbosch and more precisely in the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center. This year's central theme was the 'Sources of Bosch'. Over the course of three days twenty nine lectures were given by scholars and serious amateurs from twelve countries for an international audience.

This book holds a selection of the outcome of this conference. Each author gives his own perspective for looking at Bosch's legacy. This has resulted in a wide variety of 'Sources' from which Bosch got his inspiration. This rich collection proves above all, that Bosch himself has been a source of inspiration from his time until now and that is no doubt what he will remain.
